The dividing line is straightforward. Dirt sitting on top of the fabric is a job for the standard interior detail. Dirt that has gone into the fabric is not, and that covers a spill that dried, a stain that has been there a while, ground-in mud, or a smell you cannot find the source of. Those mean the fibers have to be washed and the water pulled back out, which is this package.
It is also the honest answer for pet hair that has worked its way into carpet, and for the lingering smells that come with it.

Red dirt is a staining problem, not a dust problem

How long does the car take to dry after a shampoo?
Miller Mobile Detailing's extraction pulls most of the moisture back out under suction, so the car is usable well before it is bone dry. The fabric is left damp rather than wet. Drying is faster on a warm, low-humidity day with the windows cracked, and slower in an Oklahoma summer when the air is already holding moisture. Alex will tell you at the walkaround roughly how long to leave it before loading the car back up.
Do I need carpet shampoo or just an interior detail?
If the dirt is sitting on the surface, Miller Mobile Detailing's standard $175 interior detail is enough. Dirt that has gone into the fabric needs shampoo, and so does a dried spill, a dark footwell, an odor, or pet hair worked down into the weave. Alex would rather put you in the cheaper package when that is the one that fits.
Can you get a smell out of my car with a shampoo?
Usually, because most car odors live in the carpet and upholstery and come out when Miller Mobile Detailing washes and extracts the fabric. A smell whose source is still in the car (a leak, mildew under a mat, a spill in the headliner) needs that source dealt with first, and Alex will look for it rather than spraying over it.
